Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. You can browse the map, the park list and every park's details without signing in. Signing in with Apple or Google lets you log visits, keep notes and submit park sign photos.

How do I log a visit?

Open a park and tap Log Visit at the top right. Your visits and progress appear on the Profile tab.

Why doesn't the map show my location?

Location access may be turned off. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → I Sea Parks and choose While Using the App. Your location is only used on your device to show you on the map.

A park's hours are missing or wrong

If a park has no hours listed, you can tap Submit Park Sign Photo on its page to send us a photo of the park's sign. We review each photo and update the park's information. For other corrections, email us.

I signed in with Apple and Google and see one account

That's expected. If both sign-in methods use the same email address, they're linked to the same account, so your visits and notes follow you. If you used Apple's "Hide My Email", Apple shares a private relay address instead, and that sign-in creates a separate account.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile → Delete Account and confirm. This permanently deletes your account, visit history, notes and the park sign photos you submitted. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Where does the park information come from?

Park listings and locations come from public information published by Seattle Parks and Recreation, and park photos are courtesy of Seattle Parks and Recreation. The app serves everything from its own servers.
